Greetings Readers!

Hey guys! My name is Alex. As Jay mentioned yesterday, I will be helping him with running the blog starting next week. I love to write. While I unfortunately did not pursue it as my profession, I do enjoy doing it on the side. I can't wait to start posting and sharing stuff with you guys. First of all, I thought I'd give a little bit of background as this might seem sort of random for some of you.

I'm 29 and live in NYC. I was actually a reader just like you since the blog launched several years ago. Jay's stories and posts were a lot of fun to read and I enjoyed it really much. I won't divulge too much as I'll be sharing more information in an interview with Jay that will go up later today (see Jay I kept my promise), but Jay's posts really spoke to me. I found myself tuning in daily and enjoying the blog. I then took a leap and contacted Jay via email and we started chatting. Our little chats ended up blossoming into a friendship. Once Jay's life started to change and he left the blog, we lost touch for a bit but shared the occasional email. About a year ago, we started chatting some more and ended up meeting for coffee. This shocked me because he is a very private person, but I was happy to meet the real man behind the blog and I was not disappointed! He is very easy-going and friendly. And yes, hot as well, LOL. So we've been good friends ever since and he's helped me out a lot. Earlier this year, we started throwing ideas around regarding launching the blog again. He asked me to help him with posting but I was a bit reluctant at first. After some convincing, I finally gave in and here I am! I don't want to give much away yet any details as Jay would probably fire me, lol, but I hope you'll enjoy the blog going forward. We both have plenty to say and bring a fresh perspective that I think you all will enjoy.
