In the Zone

Hey everyone! "In the Zone" will be another new regular feature on Confessions of a Bi-Guy. Every Thursday, I will offer my fashion views/advice/reviews on menswear. So here goes the first post.

SUMMER WEAR

My swimwear choice would have to go with Ben Sherman. I love their clothes and now that they have swimwear, they are my favorite. They are definately very trendy so I suggest you own a pair. The shorts in the collection vary with great colors and bold stripes and patterns, yet they are still subdued enough to call sleek summerwear. It allows you to add some color, varied patterns, and look good doing it. The style is laid back yet modern. Definately not too flashy, but unique and sophisticated, which is a Ben Sherman trademark. Check out this site and get yourself a pair.

Also make sure to pick up these fossil aviators. I love mine and suggest you get a pair. Aviators are back in a big way, and they keep getting sleeker and more sophisticated with each passing summer. These Fossil aviators keep the retro feel, but up the ante with slick metal frames. Go for the brown tint -- colored lenses are all the rage this season.


THE MESSENGER BAG

Call them what you will, "Man bag", "Murse", etc, but rather than being bound to stuffing your pockets with everything you’ll need throughout the day, consider these bags that are both fashionable and appropriate for you to lug around on different occasions. My suggestion goes to Hugo Boss Havana Canvas Messenger. It is well structured and compliments your officewear. Not only does it look hot with its brown leather and brass hardware, but it also boasts a load of convenience, from its large pouch pockets to its adjustable strap. Get one fast!


LOOKING AHEAD

I recently discover Club Monaco's Fall 2006 collection. I would have to say, I love their style. It is very suave and sophisticated. They pretty much offer styles for anything, from outerwear to casual wear. You have clothes to wear to work, or clothes to go out and party. The clothes are pretty varied so of your young or old, in shape or not, or gay, straight, or in-between, they have the clothes for you. The season's trends are using a lot of wool, denim, and cashmere and colors like blue, brown, or gray. Club Monaco has plenty of them. Click here for more information.
