Desperate Housewives, one of my favorite shows, returned for its third season last night and I could not have been happier with the results. Six months have passed since the season finale. Mike is in a coma, Gaby is divorcing Carlos, and Lynette is dealing with Tom's love child and her mother. After a lackluster second season that had a weak mystery, the new season jumped right in with a brand new mystery involving Bree's new fiancee, Orson, the man that ran over Mike in May's finale. Apparently his last wife mysteriously disappeared and for some reason he felt the need to try to kill Mike. I like the direction this is going and hopefully it will involve all the housewives like the first season mystery did. So far, Bree and Susan are the most affected so I hope Gaby, Edie, and Lynette will be somehow involved. I think anything would be better than last year's awful mystery. The show was also much more funnier. I loved Bree's oral sex scene with Orson. "I'm a Republican!" Also, Susan spilling the smoothie on the comatose woman, Gaby "losing" Xiao-Mei and getting the chinese food thrown on her, Lynette's Christmas photo incident, and Bree's first orgasm were some of the funny moments. I'm just glad my favorite show is back in fighting form.
