"Ser O Parecer" and "Tu Amor"

For all of you that don't know who they are, you will soon. RBD is a Mexican pop group comprised of 3 girls and 3 guys. They have been huge all over the world and are big among the Latino community here in the US. They are gearing up this fall to release their first English album. First, they are releasing their third Spanish album in November, Celestial. "Ser O Parecer" is the first single and I immediately loved it. It is different from past singles but at the same time, still the group we all love. "Tu Amor" is the first single off their December English album Rebels. The song falls in the same vein as their Spanish single. Both are great songs and you should check them out. For more information on them, check out this Wikipedia entry. I have a question. Why is it that when Latin groups (or solo artist) decide to break into the US market they change their looks. For instance this group RBD look like a punk rock group however for their US cover they look "bubble gum pop". The same thing can be said for Shaika when I first saw her on TV she had jet black hair and was a real rocker. Then when I saw her after her first US released CD (Laundry Sevice) she changed her look and decided to look for like Chrstina, Britney and the rest of them. I wished she would have kept her own style which worked for her.
