Prison Break Returns
So Prison Break finally returned last night after its baseball induced break. This was the best episode they have had the whole season. The action picked up right where the last episode left off with Sucre holding the guys at gunpoint to take the Westmoreland treasure they just found. He manages to escape, leaving the guys to fend for themselves. Michael, T-Bag, and C-Note go their separate ways since the police were fastly approaching. We next see Michael running through the woods to meet up with....Sucre! It turns out that it was all planned from the start so that they did not split the money with T-Bag. However, the joke was on them. T-Bag had switched the bags back at the house and took all the money! Now they guys had to keep running from the cops, while T-Bag bought himself a car and hit the road, on the way to "visit" his ex with Bellick hot on his trail.
Michael and Sucre were running through the forest with the cops hot on their trail. They had a approached a river so they started climbing a tree to get across. However, it broke and Sucre landed in the water with his leg stuck under the tree. I was terrified that Sucre was going to let himself die. He already felt his life was worthless. Since the police were really close, sacrificing himself for Michael's freedom would have been a noble and easy way out. However, Michael refused to let that happen so he managed to get Sucre out and they both escaped. Sucre also later found out that Maricruz did not marry Hector. So he will look for her again. Michael did hand him something ''In case you run into trouble down the road''. I wonder what exactly that was.
As the boys went through their problems, Sara was having problems of her own. She is nearly friendless. She had called her father's pal Bruce to help her. He told her to wait right there but he ended up sending a gunman to her pay phone. However, there was a woman at the phone that looked just like her from behind and they shot her instead. Now that Sara is skipping bail, she's officially a fugitive. So she stole the dead woman's ID and is now on the lam with a new identity. She started looking at all the swans Michael sent her to figure out what he was trying to tell her. She had figured out that it involved a "rendezvous" but she was missing the last swan, one she had left in her apartment.
LJ was also released and Lincoln followed him, trying to find a way for them to run off since the feds were following LJ. Lincoln ended up paying a meth addict to kick the crap out of his teenage son so that they could escape together. I liked that the episode re-established that Kellerman is evil. He said, ''It's the father you want'' to the other feds, but he didn't care if LJ dies. He just wants Lincoln to be captured before it happens. He doesn't want Sara to die because he wants to get to Michael. I don't believe he has romantic feelings for her, even if they did seem to have a friendship. Ultimately, Kellerman is a man who wants to do his job, no matter what the cost.
We also got to learn more about Mahone. He was being investigated by Internal Affairs for Tweener's death. We learned that he went from infantry grunt to Gulf I Special Ops to FBI agent leading a big manhunt. What we did not learn is how he did that though apparently he does a lot of bad things that warrant Sharpie marks on his permanent record. And then we see it, Mahone and Kellerman, sitting in a car! This was a shocking moment for me. He has been hired to find Lincoln and Michael and kill all the other convicts. He does seem to think Lincoln and Michael deserved to be punished. However, he did question the need to kill all of the other escapees but Kellerman told him to just do what he was hired to do. Things should get interesting with the twist things took.
Next week Michael calls Mahone! And we see more of T-Bag and C-Note.
