The Past Comes Back on Nip/Tuck

Nip/Tuck delivers yet another great episode this week but gross. Why? Because Kimber and Matt got married! I haven't been so disturbed since Britney married Kevin. Just when I thought it couldn't get any creepier, Kimber dropped another bomb: She's pregnant! Even more disturbing is the fact that Christian thinks the baby might be his. So, Kimber's baby is either her ex-boyfriend's or her ex-boyfriend's son's. As a wedding gift, Kimber asked that the good doctors remove her breast implants so that she could nurse the baby properly. Christian agreed, but it turned out he had the ulterior motive of obtaining a blood sample from Kimber so he could prove the baby was his. He was wrong, but this family still has got to be one of the most dysfunctional ever portrayed on television.

The big story of the night was the return of some ghosts from seasons past. The weaselly Dr. Merrill Bobolit showed up in Christian's office with his own marital news. He got hitched in prison to Escobar, the villainous crime lord from the first season. Escobar needed Christian and Sean to perform surgeries for both him and Merrill. If they refused, he would blackmail the two for disposing of a body years before. Merrill's surgery involved some rectal injuries due to being the prison bitch, while Escobar asked them to repair his face, which was burned in prison. The operation on Escobar made for an unbearably intense scene, not only for its graphic content but also for Merrill's attempt to murder Escobar mid-surgery. Later, I had to cover my eyes every time they showed Escobar's stiched-up face. Just thinking about it gives me the chills.

Sean finally confronted Marlowe about his relationship with Julia. The scene between the two men was tense, but once again, all I could think about is how the nanny got such a great apartment. Because of this Julia ended up confessing her affair with Marlowe to Sean. This somehow brought the two of them closer, culminating in a hot scene when he asked if she came and how "big" Marlowe was. However, their reconciliation doesn't look like it will last long, though, as in the final moments, Sean, shaken up by his final encounter with Escobar, revealed the truth about Monica Wilder.

Next week we flash forward a few years to see grown up Conor and Matt. I for one would love to see what Christian will be like as an old man.
