Don't worry, Britney hasn't left rehab, she just went to an AA meeting in Santa Monica -- her first field trip outside of the treatment facility. Britney was in good spirits and looking wonderful! She was smiling and happy and seemingly happy. Looks like things are getting better!
It seems she made the trip with her intervener. A rehab intervener is someone who goes wherever you go when you are not under the care of the facility. Typically, all inpatient rehabs have them (they may be called different things depending on the location and the facility). An intervener’s job is basically to watch over you while you are offsite and to evaluate how you act. They are to try and keep you out of trouble also, like while offsite they won't let you go to known haunts or whatever. A "protector" of sorts who intervenes and evaluates you and hopw you act in a given environment.
It is someone trained from the facility. Not a psychiatrist or psychologist, but someone trained in watching body language and signs of "trouble". Like a chaperone... They normally “report” back to your lead therapist how things went…if they thought something resonated with you, if something or someone upset you, if you became moody...that sort of thing.
