On August 30, 2006, one of the biggest events of the summer took place, the 2006 MTV VIdeo Music Awards. The show itself wasn't as great as previous years but it had great performances. Here is the runddown of my faves:
Justin Timberlake: Performance of "SexyBack/My Love"
This BI Award winning performance opened the show with a bang. It solidified Justin's status as an amazing performer and artist.
Fergie: Performance of "London Bridge"
This was a great performance and did'nt deserve to be relegated to the red carpet pre-show. It deserved to be on the live show.
Beyonce: Performance of "Ring the Alarm"
The girl just tore the house down as people were falling asleep.
Shakira: Performance of "Hips Don't Lie"
Shakira capped a great run with this performace. That song had to be the song of the year.
