The Heat Wave Strikes Manhattan
It is so fucking hot outside. NYC is hitting some record temperatures not seen since the 1930s. It is expected that temperatures will soar past the 100s. How hot is it? Well, my job actually permitted us to come in shorts, t-shirts, and sandals instead of the usual business casual. I didn't even bother with the walking or even the subway. I took a cab to work and will take one to go back. Officials have even decided to keep the lights off on the bridges on the East River to save energy. I guess I will have to content myself with shirtless construction workers! I am getting sick of this damn heat, bring on the fall!
