A Crazy, Desperate Wedding on Housewives

I, for one, am thrilled at how Desperate Housewives had managed to bring itself out of the creative funk it hit last season. Last night's episode was a perfect example of great TV, Housewives style. It kicked off great, showing Bree obsessing over the details of her impending wedding. I love her storyline this year involving Orson and the way the other housewives have quickly gotten involved. Orson really creeps me out and I really want to know what is up with him. Gaby and Carlos are going through their divorce, with hilarious results. The best line had to be after the lawyer tells them that their child will bind them together for life. Before that, Gaby refused to give Carlos fries because of his clogged arteries. Once the lawyer said that, she told Carlos that he better have some fries now. Lynette continues with her frustration with Nora who is really getting on my nerves too. I really hate how much Tom puts up with her and I hope this gets resolved soon because poor Lynette is hanging by a thread. One storyline that is a tad off is the one involving Susan and the new guy Ian. I wish she would just get over Mike and move on. A welcome addition to the show is hottie Josh Henderson as Edie's nephew, Austin. Wow, that seen with him shirtless was great.

Now the big event last night was Bree's wedding/reception. What made it fun was BRee doubting Orson right at the altar and then Carlos making out with Nora, leading Gaby to yell at him and him taking and bearking his mom's pearl necklace. Then Xiao Mei comes and her water breaks. Her face and "I think it time" line were priceless (more on this later). Remember the body from last week? Well, it is not Alma, Orson's ex wife. It is someone else whom Orson calls Monique. Who is she and what does he have to do with her? In French, he said I miss you Monique. Why? The saddest event last night had to be when Carlos and Gaby noticed their baby was black. It was then revealed thatGaby and Carlos' embryo had originally been switched with someone else's embryo and that embryo did not make it to full term. I felt really bad for Gaby who had really wanted a baby. it was even sadder when Carlos told her that there is nothing binding them anymore.

This episode really was excellent and next week looks even better with the return of John (Jesse Metcalfe). I can't wait!
