I hope this article turns out to be true. Britney is in dire need of help in rebuilding her career. Check this out from E! Online:
It's understandable that Britney Spears might want a little of what Christina Aguilera has.
Like maybe even Aguilera's publicist. A source tells me members of Spears' camp have contacted Aguilera's rep, Cindy Guagenti, to talk about working on a campaign to rebuild the embattled pop star's image.
As we all know, Spears is currently in a rehab facility after making headline news with some very public displays of wacky behavior. The mother of two is also going through a divorce from the much ridiculed Kevin Federline.
Aguilera, on the other hand, is at the top of her career, and her personal life is in fine order, too. Aguilera's current Back to Basics Tour kicked off in November and is expected to hit 67 cities worldwide. She and her husband, music exec Jordan Bratman, married in November 2005.
While Spears and Aguilera have often been portrayed as pop rivals, the two have known each other since they were pint-size players—along with Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling and Keri Russell—on the Disney Channel's The New Mickey Mouse Club.
Aguilera certainly isn't the only megastar handled by Guagenti, who works at the publicity firm BWR. She's also the powerhouse mouthpiece behind Brad Pitt. And if Spears does work with Guagenti, it wouldn't be her first time with BWR. She was once repped by Leslie Sloane Zelnik in the company's New York office.
Spears' list of former publicity firms include Wolf-Kasteler & Associates and New York's Dan Klores.
Guagenti declined to comment. Spears' record label rep, Gina Orr, did not comment about possible talks with Guagenti, only saying, "No one has been hired. I'm still her person."
