2008 Rewind: TV

THE BEST

1. Lost (ABC): After the hot mess that was Season 3, the show made a huge comeback this season with a new story telling device and faster pace. Plenty of shows can learn from this (I'm looking at you Heroes.)

2. Ugly Betty (ABC): This show also made a big rebound, returning the focus to Betty and her growth as a person, rather than her convoluted love life. All the actors have been in top form this season.

3. Gossip Girl (CW): Sophomore slump? HA! Season 2 is just as good, and sometimes even better than, Season 1 for two reasons: Chuck and Blair. I get hot when these two are on screen together.

4. Pushing Daisies (ABC): The facts are these: I love this show! Who knew a show about a piemaker that can bring back the dead and solves crimes with his buddy and resurrected girlfriend could be so good and so sweet? This true has so much heart and so sharply written. Too bad ABC canned it. Idiots.

5. Family Guy (FOX): The show is funnier and crazier than it has ever been.

6. How I Met Your Mother (CBS): This show has always been awesome and judging by the ratings everyone else is realizing this too. Thank you Britney.

7. Nip/Tuck (FX): Crazy, Sexy, Julian McMahon. This show will always be awesome.

8. Brothers & Sisters (ABC): I liked Season 1, loved Season 2, and adore Season 3. All the family drama is just too juicy to ignore.

9. Supernatural (CW): I always used to watch it because I enjoyed the scary aspect of it but the storylines this year and the Heaven vs Hell aspect has kept me on the edge of my seat.

10. Desperate Housewives (ABC): The five year time jump has reinvigorated the show and given it a plethora of juicy storylines. Plus, the mystery this year has been very intriguing.

THE FAIL

1. The Writer's Strike: All of my favorite shows were gone for months over internet residuals. This fails on all accounts.

2. ABC Cancels Pushing Daisies: Thanks to #1, ABC stupidly cancels my #4 show. Maybe if they actually promoted and didn't wait 9 months to bring it back would have helped.

3. Knight Rider (NBC): Bad acting, ludicrous storylines, terrible show. Not even the eye candy helped.

4. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (FOX): Is anyone else as confused as I am?

5. Private Practice (ABC): Please send Kate Walsh back to Grey's Anatomy. This show is just dumb. Yet, I still watch. Go figure.

6. Dirty Sexy Money (ABC): I just got bored with it. Nothing worth tuning into every week.

7. 90210 (CW): Bad acting, not so good stories. Only Kelly and Brenda are the good parts and we barely see them. So sad. I wanted to love this one.

8. Big Brother 9: Til Death Do Us Part (CBS): We can once again blame #1 for this terrible BB entry. The people were awful and unlikable for the most part. Such a waste. They at least rebounded for #10.

9. The Ex-List (CBS): They cancelled Moonlight and hottie Alex O'Loughlin for this dreck? I'm so glad this show failed for CBS.

10. Izzie has sex with Ghost Denny on Grey's Anatomy (ABC): Seriously? The show was off to a great start this season and is still good except for this massive Fail of epic proportions. I mean, seriously? Sex with a ghost? I know why this storyline is going on, but still.

THE EH IT'S OK

1. Dancing With the Stars (ABC): I loved Season 6 (go Kristy and Mark) but Season 7 was boring (Eww Cloris). Great+Boring=Eh It's Ok.

2. American Idol (FOX): They seriously need to pick talented people with personality and shake things up. Please no more theme weeks where people sing old songs. We live in the now. Please have them take on contemporary music. No more "live" calls either please.

3. South Park (COMEDY CENTRAL): This past season failed to live up to previous ones. Still good for a laugh though.

4. Heroes (NBC): Everyone loves to pick on this show but some things are true. The characters need to remain consistent and stop doing stupid things in order to advance the plot. The "Villains" volume started good then trickled down to bad then picked up in the finale. I have hope that Volume IV: Fugitives will bring it back to Best status.

5. One Tree Hill (CW): I loved the Nanny Carrie and Brooke's attack storylines. Everything else is just ok.

6. Grey's Anatomy (ABC): Please see #10 on "The Fail" list. That's why it's here.
